Bad year fullstop. Not had a single win since before Christmas.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

:bdaycake: Seeing a few of us aren't doing too well, and the comping fairy seems to have deserted some of you completely. Have some lucky cake ('cos MSE badly needs a lucky dust icon but doesn't have one)

I've only just started up again this year (properly) after a break. I always tend to do the local comps though, and won 2 prizes from them in one week in November (4 pantomime tickets and 2 tickets to see the London philharmonic orchestra at the local theatre). I found out today that I have won a one week intensive acting workshop at the local theatre (worth 50 quid) lol. I didn't really look at what I was entering, but gonna go along and have some fun anyway :) I have ALWAYS had more luck with local competitions run through local websites or papers. And I am sure that is down to the smaller number of entries. Is there a section to advertise the local comps, detailing the area, on this site? So other local people can enter (if they haven't already seen it and entered)?

    Good luck to all! xx

It was a good month for a few people I know. I won quite a few prizes. Not as many as feb but not too bad.. I just think that most compers who have been doing it for a long time etc don't post in IWIW and so your not really hearing about those who do win a lot.
    August-September 2017: Lots of stuff :)
