Hi
Im currently on prepayment meters for both Gas and Electric, based on my usage for the last year ive worked out that I could save up to £150 a year by changing to a credit meter.
I dont have a great credit rating though, what are the odds they will still change it for me?
Thanks for reading and any replies.

They will change them for you happily - £50 or £60 per meter plus a few hundred pounds deposit. Deposit is returned after one year with interest.
Chances of them changing it without charge and deposit - pretty low.0 -

Baloney!
Eon make no charge for such a meter change.
Whether or not Eon will provide such a meter will depend on the OP's credit status.

Hi MrsNorthman
As Wywth says, we no longer charge to switch customers from prepayment to credit meters.
We do, though, ask to carry out a credit check. The result of this will determine the type of offer we'll make.
Even if the credit check is not fully satisfactory, it may be possible to make the change by paying a security deposit.
Any debt on the meter may also prevent the change to a credit meter.
It really depends on the individual circumstances. Therefore, I'd suggest talking to our prepayment guys. They'll carry out the credit check and sort things out from there.
Hope this is of interest. Give me a shout if you need any more info as happy to help.
