Thanks ffloyd. Tried all of them apart from Dolby Inn. Have to ring them after work but the it seems highly unlikely at the moment.
What about hostels? Some friends of mine stayed in one when we had a full house http://www.embassie.com/ and they said it was nice it has great reviews on Trip Advisor. There is also this one which I have heard is good too http://www.internationalinn.co.uk/index.htm0 -
Try priceline.co.uk and the name your price option. You can choose the general area and class of hotel to stay in, then just make an offer. It may eb able to sniff out something you hadnt thought of...Undefeated Wii Fit ski jump champion!

Try https://www.thepineapplehotel.co.uk About £27 a night. Basic but central
Its 5 mins in a taxi from city centre.
We drove up for the Istanbul home coming, great night, nothing like it, will travel up again this time.
Good Luck0 -
Have you thought about staying on Wirral? Premier Travel Inns have rooms in Greasby and Heswall.0

I think travell inn in Wirral seems abit far for a taxi ride into the city centre. But i will give the pineapple hotel and a few hostels a go today.
Thanks0 -
there's a b&b on arkles lane right by the ground(facing the park) i don't know the name but i drive past everyday on my way to work,i'll find out the name tomorrow and post for you.
about £5 in a taxi to town BUT tha best thing is that when the won in istanbul they paraded right past there the next day and in the local paper last week it said that if they were successfull again(WILL BE) they will follow the same route again so you'd have a great view and you can follow it up to the ground where the atmosphere was brill!0 -
Cheers people. Ive managed to book at the express holiday inn for that day. Its at the john lennon airport. But dont really mind the taxi fare.0

Get the bus in .............£20
-
Thats not a bad deal. I live up the road in Hunts Cross. Its only 20 minutes in taxi into town.. Coming back will cost about £13/14.
You can either get the train from Hunts Cross or get the airport bus link to Liverpool South Parkway (Big stupid new station) and get train from there straight into Liverpool Central where you have all the bars you want..
PM for more details if you have any more questions as i will be heading into town myself to watch the glorious 6th win.0
