Refund of used car

I bought a used car from a dealer (Evans Halshaw) 2 weeks ago yesterday (20/3/13) and a week after I got the car, there was a problem with the engine and new spark plugs were fitted for free by the dealer.
Today, there was a gear linkage issue which meant I couldn't drive the car and had to get it recovered back to my house.
I have been looking at the Sale of Goods act to see if I can get a refund, but I am not sure if getting the car repaired the first time counts as acceptance of the good therefore meaning I am not entitled to a full refund.
Can anyone help me with this? Thanks!

As far as your rights are concerned, used cars are a bit of a minefield.
Accepting a repair does not mean you have accepted the goods. However, the key word used throughout the Sale of Goods Act is "reasonable". We need some more information, like the age, mileage, price etc. of the car. Were you alerted to any problems by the dealer? It broke a week after purchase but how many miles had you driven in that time?
I highly recommend you read section 9 of this PDF:
