Cannot change supplier!!

I am trying to change supplier for my gas and electricity.
It appears theMPRN(for the gas meter) and the MPAN (for the electricity meter) apply to the building next door the owner of which had my house built 25 years ago. All attempts to change supplier fall on stoney ground!
To add to the quandery since moving in 10 years ago I have successfully changed supplier!?!? (about 7 years ago).
Can someone out there help square the circle?!

I have just left it to the company I want to move to and then nothing happens and I hear nothing-8 weeks ago I made the first enquiry.

If at first you don't succeed .... give up and carry on paying for your neighbours consumption :cool:
