A few days ago I was reading a thread on here that listed the RSS feed URL's for the forums. Since I use Firefox I simply copied one feed and added a 'Live Bookmark' so I could see the latest updates for that forum via a button in my browser.
However, after seeing just how much time this was saving me in checking the forums for new posts I looked into obtaining a full RSS Reader. Tried a few different packages, most of which had more whistles and bells than I required, but never found a free one I liked.
It was at this point that I realised Thunderbird has an RSS reader built into it, and a nice one at that!
(Thunderbird is an email client like Outlook.)
Anyway, happy that I had found a solution to my problem I proceded to add in the Credit Card RSS feed. Next I decided to add in the Techie Forum...but alas no url??? So I tried to search for the thread that started me off on this quest, but no joy there.
If anyone can find the post can you please post a link to it in here so I can find it again. Thanks!
In the mean time, if you require an RSS feed for the forum's use this format:
URL Feed: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/external.html?type=rss2&forumids=xxx.html
Replace 'xxx' with the number for 'f' you see above in the location bar. In this example it's 29.
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/newthread.html?do=newthread&f=29
In creditcards its 11, Loans 12...etc.

You can combine all your mse feeds into one with the post I made at the bottom.
Just seperate them with a comma.

When I first tested the feeds, there was a fault in that when someone posted a thread title with two spaces in a row, it broke the feed for the whole board. I don't know if that still happens but that might be the reason if a feed does not work0
