Ha! Now that is poor functionality for you. For some reason, you appear to have the choice of the vertical smilies when creating a post, but it is only those at the bottom of the page, which are just duplicates of the verticals, that you can use to set a smilie within a title. That seems odd to me. Anyway, Done and only took me 10 goes! Back to the topic at hand.

Good morning everyone. Its another nice sunny day here again but going to have a day in the house as had a very sleepless night due to coughing.

So far today I have taken my breakfast time medicine, eat breakfast from stores, prepared the dinner (beef stew) and put it in the slow cooker, washed the dishes and also made the beds.

My list for the rest of the day:

    • [STRIKE]Check postcode lottery, Swagbucks, Swapits, Topcashback[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Surveys[/STRIKE]I've also filled in my spreadsheet and I have £92.31 between various accounts.I have also redeemed a £10 voucher, which I can use to get some of the paint for decorating the house.
    • Do some course work
    • [STRIKE]Sort the weekly shopping list and do online shop[/STRIKE] Spent £20 more than budgeted so will need to try and save on next week
    • [STRIKE]Catch up with the £10 a day challenge and come up with a plan of action[/STRIKE]This thread is addicitive I have spent all afternoon catching up and doing some of the ideas
    • [STRIKE]Declutter and flylady[/STRIKE]
    • Laundry - full loads, line dry if it stays nice Work in Progress
    • Do work that is in for today Work in Progress
I think that is everything that I need to get done today. Hope everyone has a good Thursday x

Well, what a day I had yesterday. Booked for British Gas to come out to fix my boiler "between 8 and 1". Waited til 2 then phoned up only to be told that they would have to reschedule, so I'd booked a day off work for no reason.

Then I had to take back one of the heaters that I'd bought on Sunday because the plug gets red hot and I was worried that it was a fire risk, and finally when I took my new bike out for its forst ride, I got halfway down the road and the crank shaft on one of the pedals sheared off, so had to wheel it back home and take it back to Halfords and wait half an hour for it to be fixed then drive back in rush hour traffic. So it seems like a lot of time, effort and petrol was wasted on repairing and replacing things that didnt work.

On the plus side, I at least got my money returned on the faulty heater as I didnt really need it now the kids are back with their Mam, and the heating did get fixed this morning.

Having bored you all with my tales of woe, I'll get on with todays DFW stuff.

    Today I have/will
    Checked online banking
Washing drying on the line. Its cold, but windy so it might just need a few minutes on the radiator when I get home
Changed my work hours so that I'll just work later this evening to make up the hours I was at home with the Gas man this morning, so I wont lose any more pay/leave
Brought sandwiches and fruit from home for work
Paid CC4 in full. This is the card I keep for emergencies and only put on what I know I can pay off the folllowing month so I dont incur any interest
Walked to station then train pass to work.
    Read free newspaper
    Charged phones at work
    Free coffee/water at work
Tea from stores - chicken and pasta
Bought dog food and dog biscuits from the 99p shop in town in my dinner break saving a few pence on the price in my normal supermarket

Think that is it. Have a good day all

Thanks starnac. I've found a guide to claiming for late deliveries. Do I just use the same template for utility companies failing to show do you think, and change all the bits about buying and selling?

    Hi bob,
Thanks for starting, can you put the smiley in the thread title please? Right at the bottom when you click "Edit post". Ta!

    This is me today:-
    - Checked bank (no change)
    - B/L/D from stores
    - NSD!
    - Check for solicitors updates
    - Work EXTREMELY hard and sell lots of labour
    - Stay in tonight
    - Research cheap mattresses for DD's bed when we move
    - Try to keep my head down today and stay out of office politics!

    Jx

    Josie.

I recently bought DD a new matress and got it online from world stores, found them to be by good and reasonable. Don't know if you use it but you also get cash back via qu1dco with them. I've just checked their website and you can get a £15 voucher off your order if you are referred. If you want me to do this for you just PM me your e mail.
