:)Thursday 4th April - What DFW small things will you do today?
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Hello Everyone
Starting us off for the day. I cant seem to find how to put a smilie in the header though? Can anyone help me?
So me for today.
Little man was not sick again in the night so it seems an isolated event, possibly brought on by too much lunch and too much rushing around afterwards. We'll see. At present preparing for a normal day.
1. Done my banking, paid myself as much as is possible at this time. Hoping to grab some more later in the month.
2. Work all day, will pay for parking as per usual but other than that a no spend day.
Not a long list from me today but my heart is 'on mission!'
I meant to say yesterday but to @Lullabelle, cereal doesnt have to be expensive. We buy non branded equivalents at Lidl for example Multigrain hoops instead of Cheerios, half the price.
Good luck everyone today.
Bob
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important

@bob thanks for that reminder - I tend to be drawn to the named brands - slapped wrist!
So had a massive downer last night, not quite sure what was wrong with me but took myself off FB, ignored people's texts and wouldn't answer phone. Feel a bit brighter today and think am going to go to docs as suspect I might have a bit of depression (either that or bi-polar - ha ha!).
So today:
-have had protein shake for breakfast (this isn't strictly MSE as the stuff is expensive so should only really be having it twice a week before evening workouts - must rectify!)
- making use of free tea/coffee/water at work
-have brought in soup and a piece of bread for lunch from home am meeting best friend for coffee at lunchtime as have told her am on a diet so didn't want to have lunch (which is true)
-have training tonight which is 7.50 but keeps me out the supermarket whilst doing it and should help my mood and help me to get fit and lose weight.
-have a portion of the healthy curry I made last night from stores for supper.
-watch 666 park avenue and greys anatomy which have recorded on the sky box
-no alcohol (3rd day now) I figure this is really affecting my mood and so am trying not to have any
-put some fake tan on - I'm so pale so it always makes me look and feel better (just a light tan, not katie price-esque!)
-have also stopped using washing machine and dishwasher until the cheap rates kick in and make a conscious effort not to phone my parents from my mobile or until cheap rates kick in on my landline - before I'd just call without a care and then balk at the bill.
this weekend I'm going to make sure it's quiet - going to go to supermarket straight from work friday night to keep me out of the boozer, plus it's much quieter then as everyone with a life is out! and instead of getting expensive (and unhealthy) take out (even though I do lurvvve lemon chicken and egg fried rice from the local chinese!) will make from stores!
Have a good day everyone! Almost friday - TF! xI want to be a writer0 -

Hi All
Im really sorry but I cant seem to edit to include a smilie. I have tried going into advanced settings within the edit setting, and then putting a smilie in the title, at the start of the title and at the end, and neither is working for me. Confused face. I might try doing a blank new different thread and seeing if that works, perhaps I have some how angered the gods of HTML this morning??
