Stock ISA Options

Are there restrictions on what funds one can invest into and treat it as a ISA? For example, there is a Currency Fund I've been watching that has done quite well. Is it possible to put 5K in this Fund and treat it as a ISA keeping the gain or increase in value tax free? Must a Fund go through some approval process before one can invest in it as a ISA?

You'll have to check with your isa provider.0 -
No, not all funds can be put in a S&S ISA. You'll probably find that money market or cash funds are not eligible to be held in a S&S ISA. Some may technically be held in a cash ISA, although I've no idea if any cash ISA providers offer that service.0
