hi all, am after some advice please (although don't think it's possible myself) i have just been made redundant - friday 22nd march and i have a tesco credit card where the 0% is just about to run out (forgot about the date it expired due to work issue's) and was looking at getting another card with 0% balance transfers. is this possible without a job, i've had no problems in past with getting finance.

Credit card companies and other lenders want to make sure you'll pay back what you borrow (plus any interest, of course), and seeing a wage or salary is pretty high on their agenda. Unless you have any other income I think they'll not be willing to lend to you, I'm afraid.
The good thing is that you should be able to retain your current credit cards. I was paid off Sept 2011 and still have all my cards and limits from when I was working.
Edit/ There are the 'start again'-type cards, of course, like luma and Aqua. They don't count for your needs, obviously.0 -
Might be an idea to call your CC company and see if you can haggle a low % for the life of the balance.....you can try...DEBT FREE AND PROUD

Might be worth using some of your redundancy money to pay off the card debt.shaynemawer wrote: »hi all, am after some advice please (although don't think it's possible myself) i have just been made redundant - friday 22nd march and i have a tesco credit card where the 0% is just about to run out (forgot about the date it expired due to work issue's) and was looking at getting another card with 0% balance transfers. is this possible without a job, i've had no problems in past with getting finance. Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??
