Reached Max Following on Twitter - Help!

Options
If like me you frequently bash your head against the glass ceiling that is the maximum users you can follow (starting from 2,000 and increases depending on how many follow you) there used to be a great little app out there called Twit Cleaner, which essentially gave your account an MOT (showed you all sort of user types and you could delete from there instead of thinking about who you had added first etc).

Sadly the guy who runs twitcleaner has decided to call it a day, mainly because Twitter has changed it's API thingy so much his program is essentially unworkable, plus it was just him doing it :(

After doing some searching about, wanted to bring to your attention this - http://manageflitter.com/ It appears to be a similar sort of cleaner, have trialled it a couple times and all seems well.

If anyone uses any other cleaner/optimiser, please feel free to tack it to the bottom of this post, might be good to give users the choice :)

I use tweepi. It gives me a list of about 100 pages of people that I follow. The people I followed most recently are on the first pages and the people I followed ages ago are on the last pages. (These are usually people I know and chat to on twitter because they are other compers)

I find if I go to about page 80, I get to people I followed about 3 months ago and unless I know that they do regular competitions (like Debenhams), or have one that is running for ages, (like Butlins), I unfollow those. I know that if I don't actually check their feed, I might miss some, but it works for me.

I've just reached my 2000 & noticed this in twitter T&Cs

regularly following and unfollowing many accounts at a time is a violation of the Twitter Rules and can result in account suspension.

Yes - don't do too many at once. If you unfollow say 20 a day for a few days, that is better than if you try and unfollow 200 all at once.

Not suggesting this for everyone but I am an obsessive Twitter user and will regularly unfollow. When I hit my limit I go back through who I am following starting from the beginning and unfollow hundreds, in the last 2 days of November prior to the Advents I unfollowed at least 4-500.
Obviously I didn't refollow 4-500 in the same space of time, but it did give me breathing space throughout the Advents.
I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

    Hi
I've reached the max of following 2k twitter pages; does anyone know of a reliable website/app that I can unfollow many twitter pages at once by the oldest first.

    Thanks

I use tweepi. I am sure I recall a thread recently though, where people were recommending others.
