Odd Tyre Date Code

I have an odd tyre date code on my spare tyre.

The code is 0141. The first two digits could be the week number, but the second two should be the year. 1941? I think not.

It's the spare tyre and, to the best of my knowledge, it's been in the car since it was built in Ford's Cologne factory in September 2004.

The tyre is a Bridgestone B391.
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)

So did I at first. But there are no other more plausible numbers (ie. nn04) stamped anywhere else on the tyre. It's the spare, so it was easy to check both sides. The number is stamped in the same place and in the same rounded rectangular area, just like all other tyre date codes I've seen.

I can't recall where the tyre was made but, as Bridgestone is an American company, I've even checked whether they have their "tire" codes the same wrong way round as their dates (ie. 0141 = year 2001, week 41). They don't.

I ought to check and adjust the pressure, so I'll take a photo of the actual number and try to post it.

But founded by Shojiro Ishibashi in Kurume, headquarters in Tokyo, a chairman named Shoshi Arakawa and a CEO named Masaaki Tsuya.

I wonder if they know what the code number means?
