2014 Holiday release dates

Do any of the travel agents on here know when First Choice/Thomas Cook etc release their holidays for next year.

Last year it was the last Thur in April.

We have 4 children and need to get a free child place as soon as they come out..makes a big difference.

No inside info yet but its usually the beginning of may. When you price your holiday up get them to price it with a free child and without because generally if you have more than 2 adults and a child in your party its cheaper without a free child, because when you get a free child place the other prices are normally dearer. Also if there is a discount on the booking its usually more if you price all the party as adults but that does depend on what the difference between a child and adult price is, it doesn't always work that way.

Child free places def work out cheaper for us. We have 4 kids now aged 10, 13, 13 & 15.

When we first went away (4 yrs ago) we paid £3800 for a 2 week holiday AI to Turkey with 2 free child places.

This year we are paying £5800 with 1 free child place. The other 3 kids are classed as adults.

Last year we were invited into out local Thomson travel agent who claimed to be offering discounts/special offers etc.

We booked with them and when I got home I did an online search, EXACT same holiday dates/flights etc and it was £300 cheaper online. Wasn't happy, went in and complained and got the difference taken off the holiday.

Will never go into a travel agents again, online is defo cheaper especially when you use a cashback site!

For those interested the Thomson website is saying that their 2014 programme will be launched on Thursday 25 April.

I'd think Thomas Cook will follow suit the same day or may even try to launch a few days earlier.

Just been in the local travel shop and they say the brochures for next year are out next thursday.

There's a notice in our local First Choice window saying 2014 holidays on sale Thursday 25th April.

Thomas cook also go on sale 25th april as well.
