Baby clothes (newborn onwards)

Hi, We are parents of two girl aged 14 weeks & 2years, As the children are getting older we have clothes that they have outgrown.
Does anyone know of anywhere that these Clothes will be of good use, all are in good condition and some have'nt been worn and still got the labels on.
We would rather donate to a charity than give to a local charity shop.
thanks

Why dont you just sell them on Ebay, At least then you can make some money back on them. Once you have made a little bit of money you could treat them to a day out or save the money for them x

    Hi there,

Have you considered your local women's refuge - I'm sure you could google it or call your local council. Many women have to leave asap and don't have the opportunity to pack much, so clothes would be a bit of a lifesaver.

I have to admit I am a bit reticent to give to charity shops now - I gave a lot of stuff to Barnardos near where I live and although I popped in frequently very rarely saw any of my in season stuff put out although perhaps it went quickly. They are quite good price wise but some of the charity shops here are actually quite expensive for children's clothing.

My DD used to go to a special needs play group run by Barnardos, who quite often received donations of clothes from benefactors which they passed on to the children using their services. I only ever got brand new clothes in this way, but if you have good quality used clothes they may well use it in their projects as spares when children get the clothes they have come in wet or dirty.

if you don't want to Freecycle them then a refuge or even the local hospital may welcome them or see if there's a local sure start group who need them.
