Rice Krispie cakes

Can anyone help me with a recipe for Rice Krispie cakes or Corn Flake cakes that doesnt contain syrup?

We bought some at an easter fete and the lady selling them said they contained Rice Krispies, butter, raisins and marshmellow. My little one loved them but I can't find a recipe.

Thanks

I make mine with melted chocolate instead of the butter and stir in mini marshmallows rice krispies or cornflakes and raisins. Sometimes I substitute the raisins for cranberries. I buy the bags of cranberries in home bargains. They are also nice for breakfast mixed with cereals.

I dont really have a recipe for the ones I make. I usually just melt 1/2 a bar of tesco cooking chocolate in the microwave and then add other ingredients and stir. If you add ingredients a small amount at a time and continue stirring everything gets coated in chocolate. I spoon mix into paper cases.
If i am feeling generous I will use cadburys chocolate.

We do Mars Bars, margarine and rice krispies and each time they change the Mars Bars we have to tweak the recipe. I think we're currently using four with four ounces of marg and then four ounces of rice krispies although more may be needed.

A spoon of crunchy peanut butter mixed in is yummy too, obviously not if you're making them for a fete or anything.

I find you don't need to really measure with this recipe, it is that easy and forgiving!

I melt a 'blob' (around a level tablespoon if you need a visual measure) of butter/buttery stuff in a big pot, pour in a large bag of marshmallows and stir on a low to medium heat until it's mostly melted. A few partly melted marshmallows is nice as you get pockets of pure marshmallow.
Stir in your rice crispies (basics / value ones are ok) and any other additions (raisins, choc etc) until you can't get any more in. Depending on the quantity of marshmallows, you may well need most of a bag of crispies.
Turn out into a greased and/or lined dish and leave to set. Cut into squares when cold.
You can press chocolate decorations on top before it sets, or drizzle chocolate over the top - the limit is your imagination!
If I'm taking these somewhere, I will use a disposable foil tray to turn it into to set, makes it easy to transport and you don't have to carry the container back. Depending on where you're going, either cut into squares before leaving, or for more rigidity while travelling, cut once you arrive.
    Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!
