ciss ink? noticeable difference in colour accuracy between budget & premium inks?

I have a CISS - been using it for 10+ years, I've been filling it with the cheapest of the cheap inks £8 for 600ml. For black & documents it's great.

Though for pictures it leaves a lot to be desired.

I was wondering whether there is a noticeable difference in quality between the cheap no name Chinese brand sold on ebay and the more premium brands like www.cityinkexpress.co.uk,
http://www.ink-system.co.uk et al.

I have never used this before but it looks awesome. We used to use a 'refill' company based in london for our fax machine. They got their ink from China. We could get 10 cartridges for a Tenner. They have moved since and now I can't get a number for them but they were great. From my experience, ink is ink and it's probably worth a punt.

yeah ciss is a lot better than refilling cartridges, a lot less messy and you can have a reservoir with 90ml of ink, a normal ink cart has between 5-10ml each I think, so if you're manually filling it it's messy and if you're just using disposable third party carts then it's still pretty expensive.

I can go a year or so with just £10 of ink with moderate printing - dont have to be skint with anything or wasting ink.
