The only sensible thing to do is book now then make sure you don't look at the price again, that way even if it did drop you won't know about it.

It depends on whether you have any particular hotel or resort in mind. If you do then book now. If you don't really care where you end up and aren't fussy about hotels then it can pay to wait but it could be a lottery on what is available and you could end up disappointed.

In the past I booked holidays literally the last minute (booked online at 8am once and was at the airport an hour later and on the beach by lunch) but now I do prefer a little more planning.

The end of april beginning of may is normally very reasonable in price but as the weather has been and is so bad there maybe more demand this year. When you get to within 2 weeks of departure they add in a late booking fee if you book a package, if you are using low cost carriers and doing it yourself then the flight prices normally get dearer the closer you get to departure.

My experience with Egypt is that flights go up in price and hotel prices come down so I would certainly at least look at booking the flights sooner rather than later.
