I'm an executor for a will and have just received a bill from Eon for £90. This bill has absolutely no information on apart from the fact I owe £90.
Looking at the bank statements the deceased had been paying £85 a month to Eon for the last few months for both Electricity and gas. She lived in a small one bedroom flat which had been empty for the last 4 months as she was in hospital.
Do I just pay this bill or do I ask for more information from Eon? This money isn't mine but I need to account for all bills to the people named in the will.
I'm tempted just to pay it. Any suggestions?

Hi goater78
I wouldn't just pay the bill without being sure it's accurate.
Our bills list the meter readings used and prices applied. If this info isn't on the one you've received, I suspect it's probably a follow up request for payment rather than the bill.
Ask for a copy of the actual bill. This will detail the info above and show whether or not it's based on estimates.
If estimated and you've actual readings, let us know these and we'll re-bill accurately.
We've a specialist Bereavement Support team. I'd contact these guys. They'll be happy to sort this out for you.
Hope this helps point you in the right direction. Give me a shout if you need any more info as happy to help.
