I really do hate Inland Revenue at times!!!
They messed up my payments last year so that I ended up going onto 'manual payments' but I'm still waiting to see how much they claim they have over paid my last year.
I've had no payments off them since March but this morning I got a letter from them stating that they have worked out how much they are going to pay me this year. They've put me on manual payments again and who ever has worked it out has messed up big time.
I'm single parent with one child living at home earning £16.5K a year & they have decided that I should receive £147 per week!!!! There is a giro on it's way for £886 which I know I'm not entitiled too. I've done a rough estimate that should receive about £45 a week.
So I got straight onto the phone to them to tell them and they don't want to know because they havent sent me the annual declaration yet!! !!!!!!!! i'm trying to tell them that they are going to pay me too much & they aren't listening.
Of course the other problem is that this is totally going to muck up my IPA situation (haven't had one imposed but guessing that this will change due to IR's mess up). Know I have a legal obligation to contact the OR to tell them of a change in circumstances but have an awful feeling this is going to get out of hand.

Also Red just to add ask for the full name of the person you deal with each time as they tend to fob you off but stick to your guns and give them what forOfficial DFW NERD 189

Is this true?
I was told that all Tax Credits were income.:starmod: I am not that savage :heartpuls But I am a Vixen :staradmin0 -
No wonder the OR wasn't interested in my SOA at all!!! She said it didn't matter as so much of our income was benefits!
(I thought she just meant Housing Benefit-although thats only a bit! and Child Benefit):starmod: I am not that savage :heartpuls But I am a Vixen :staradmin0 -
Although I am still not sure, as a Tax Credit is not the same as a Benefit.:starmod: I am not that savage :heartpuls But I am a Vixen :staradmin0

I was so worried about my SOA, spent hours anxting over it, and then she didn't care, wasn't even interested!
(and 5 kids= quite a lot of child benefit!):starmod: I am not that savage :heartpuls But I am a Vixen :staradmin0 -
Interesting about the child benefit, as the CCCS and CAB have both included mine in my income for my SOA.0

Yes, it was included in my SOA for Bankruptcy, everything was, this is how the INsolvency service advised me to present it. The OR will check (as all circumstances are different) and generally disregard benefits.
Insolvency advised me that the only benefit I should not include on my SOA for BR was the DLA my son receives, as it is for him.
So you should definately include it, otherwise you SOA will show a huge difference between outgoings and incomings. This will fully explain your financial circumstances and then the OR decides what is relevant.:starmod: I am not that savage :heartpuls But I am a Vixen :staradmin0
