Free parking
Options
Most town centre/shopping centre car parks will charge you by the hour for parking, and all the surrounding streets will have restricted parking or meters too so unless you're prepared to walk a fair distance free parking is difficult to come by.
However something we've noticed over the years is how often free parking can be found in 'posh' areas. Drive to some exclusive postcode district and you'll almost invariably find that roadside parking is provided for free. Ok so you're not going to have all the usual chain stores available to you and I can't comment necessarily on the prices of things you will find in those shops that are nearby but if you're just window shopping or browsing for nothing in particular then not going to a regular cookie-cutter high street might be preferable anyway. Local examples, Beaconsfield - Berks, Bushey - Herts and Alderley Edge - Ches.
Do you think it's a coincidence that all these high earners don't pay for parking like the rest of the plebs?

Not really understood the question.
In most towns, if you move a little bit from town center, you'll always find residential areas of plenty of parking space for free on roads.
I usually use them and then walk to town centers.
Not necessarily those who live there are high earners.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0 -
Have you been to Chelsea, or Richmond where you are going to pay more to park if you have a bigger car !0

You will find that they pay to park in their street by getting a residents permit. These can cost anything from £100 to over £1000 a year. Most of these will have a sign saying 1 hr parking no return within X number of hours unless in possesion of a residents permit. The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 10
