hi I tried to claim PPI against Tesco Finance they wrote to me today to say they will uphold my claim but because the loan was " written Off" a fact I forgot about stupid me. They will use the amount against the arrears. My question is there anyway round this for me to get the money back ? if I respond back and they do use the money against the arrears will that loan become live again? what should I do I really want the money owed back to me and not them

The money isn't owed to you, it's owed to Tesco as they wrote the loan off.0

eeh, God loves a trier...
The money isn't owed to you OP, you have already spent it. So you still owe it.
No, there isn't anyway round it.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
will this loan become live again then0

You woke it up when you complained, so it depends on whether it was statute barred or not..Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Post #6 is correct. By complaining you have effectively woken it up again unless it barred. Barring prevents them coming after you for the money but it does not prevent them using the redress against the amount written off.thats uncalled for if you cant say anything constructive shut up!
It was harsh. Harsher than you would normally expect. However, you can see the reason why. You never paid your debts. Now you say they owe you money. That is pushing morality a bit.
The bottom line is that they can use the money against the debt.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. I do appreciate the responses but to go at me by saying I disgust that person is totally out of order thats a personal comment that was uncalled for0

That person was out of order. Please ignore them, this forum is full of people who are helpful, people like them are in the minority luckily. They won't last long on here
