A lender I had a credit card with over two years ago has recently got in touch stating I owe them over £100 in iterest charges!!
Once I had cleared the balance of this card I cut it up and never used it again. As I say it was approx 2 years ago.
I have had no previous letters/statements from them to say that there was an outstanding balance.
Where do I stand with this one??

Did you close the account or did you just stop using it and leave it dormant?
There might have been 'trailing interest' due, there might have been charges due to a 'Continuous Payment' which you might have set-up and forgot to cancel.
Contact the CC and ask for an explanation how those interest charges accumulated.0
