I find them very irritiating but strangely, very compelling at the same time. Luckily I don't get to see too much daytime TV. I think the key here is me being too sensitive to the subject, so it's like car crash telly for me.

I have just spent an unemployed spell (sentance), and have been overwhelmed by adverts who tell us that we can have loans/CC's with a history of CCJ's or other bad credit, we can apply for money without checks, we can sell our houses to a company who state on their advert that you 'can have cash in days to spend on what you like' and pay them rent rather than the 'burden' of your mortgage etc. etc.

I never really noticed these adverts when I was working, but had many sleepless nights while unemployed worrying about the mortgage, and as the government don't help with mortgages for the first 6 months, started paying attention to these sharks. They make me absolutely sick, they focus their adverts during daytime winning cash programmes like Deal or No Deal etc, I really think we should campaign to make them pay an additional fee on their adverts to cover the cost of following their advert with an advert for National Debtline, CCCS and other non-profit debt advice organisations.

I'll step off my soapbox now!

The one I hate most is picture loans... especially her bloody voice.. not even mentioning in the small print for a loan of 25k you'll be paying back nearly 50k!!!! Grrrr

'Ahm joost on tha fown too pictaaahh'

Ahem, IA, I talk like that!! Though I'm not quite as stupid as that woman in the advert. Not these days anyway!!
