Hi has any one had trouble getting there warm home discount from british gas ?
As i have
i called saturday just gone and the woman on the phone was so rude ive put in a complaint.
I rang to ask where it was and she said it was applyed to my meter on the 27th march ? I informed her i have not received it on my meter as topped up 2 time and nothing well she turned round and said well we dont have to give it to you its something we do out of kindness :mad: well i said you telling me im not entilteled to it she went well may be
she then said some one will call me on tuesday We came and went no call
So rang today 3rd april to speak to a very nice lady and said it has been sent out on 27th but dont know if to meter or a cheque shes going to call me back tomorrow morning at 10 am to let me know the out come

Best way to respond to ill manners, especially when involving a discount is to bite your toungue or count to ten or as I do, with extreme kindness.
If a cheque could be the Easter delay but you sound on top of things. You are in the system, so just takes time.0 -
Yes, I'm having trouble getting my discount from BG too.
I called last Thursday and was first told the discount had been applied (no it hasn't!), then that it would be done by the 31st.
I pointed out that as it was a bank holiday and the 31st is a Sunday, the letter should have been sent out that day.
It was a painful conversation, and I got no where. I'm currently on hold with them now to find out what's going on :mad:0
