Wednesday 3rd April - What DFW small things will you do today?

I can't believe how much cereal is these days - I remember when that was a cheap way to eat and a snack when you got home from school but not anymore!!!!
WW - I love scott and bailey too - think suranne jones is brilliant - once saw her in a play in manchester - she is definitely one of my idols.
I'm annoyed as had an appointment at home at lunch with gardener as need some ideas with what to do with it - he let me down and now can't come until saturday so trudged home in the cold for nothing. Still, suppose it was vague exercise (16 mins of walking if you include both there and back) and had soup and piece of toast at home so no spending. I also cleaned a couple of the kithen work surfaces and gave the cat a cuddle.
Feel bad as a friend wanted to see me tonight but I've said no because she's got a new man. She has only just got out of a relationship with a really nice guy (they only broke up as they were in different places in life) and now she bags another yet I've been single 2.5 years. I am glad for her that things are going well but I just don't want to hear about it as it will make me more depressed re my own life!I want to be a writer0 -
Know how you feel lulabelle been single now 3 1/2 yrs and everyone seems to find another perfect guy except me. Just not good enough for me thats what I tell myself.
Well today
Had some disgusting lunch of sardines and salad but hey ho no spending.
Tried to sort out finances for the month and make extra credit card payment.
Stayed in a lunchtime in work to avoid the shops.
Long dog walk later as sunny here,
Might just might give the house a good clean then that will not eat into my weekend.
List a few cds on ebay later.
Try and keep the heating off most evening.
May have a bath I just love them why did I get a water meter argh!!!!! Too late to change back now as well.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
Can I join you today?
I'm feeling pretty chuffed with myself! I had planned to take my work to my favourite coffee shop (somehow it's easier to settle down to work there), but instead I've had lunch from the freezer and my own Earl Grey and mocha.
Unfortunately, I haven't started that work yet! Instead, I've:
- checked my banking and updated my spreadsheets
- worked on my snowball calculator
- done some washing and drying
- caught up on some recorded TV (free entertainment)
- done a little bit of housework.. (well, I am on holiday)
- planned dinner from stores
So, I've saved money on petrol, parking, coffee and lunch out but it's time to do some work now!

Afternoon Money-savers,
A mixed day here.....I'm feeling much brighter but Mr f went down with the bug last night, so we're still a plague house, I'm afraid!
Today I have:
*Done surveys
*Tested my free crisps - 3 packets free.
*Dinner as per meal plans for the half of the relationship that is well enough to eat anything (luckily that's me!)
*Did laundry overnight on Economy 7.
*Laundry all hung outside as there's a good blow on today.
*Started a fab new toothbrush....felt like a really high-tech ultra-cleaning one, when it was one of a pack of 5 for 99p from The 99p shop. Will defo be getting some more of those in!
*Made more 'fake guttering' from cut-down milk cartons/plastic bottles & sowed the rest of the peas.(Free seed)
*Pricked out 36 baby lettuce plants.....they were from a free packet of seed....I want to be as self-sufficient as possible for salad leaves this summer.
*Got 2 farm shop yoghurts for price of one this morning as they were on the last date.
*Terrible to put this down as money saving, but Mr f is a big guy & has a huge appetite....let's just say he's so poorly he's eating nothing......tho' of course I'd rather have him hale & hearty, lol!
Not money-saving......had to go out on an emergency lucozade run for the plague victim & also bought another packet of tomato seeds to get sown quickly as I've lost some of mine to the cold.
Think that's everything. I'm another one who is looking forward to 'Scott & Bailey' tonight.....sounds a gruesome opener!

@Minniemousesmummy - Sorry to hear you have asthma, thats not fun.
So me today
1) Checked banking
2) Sent husband off with packed lunch
3) No spend day except for parking £2.33
4) Made sure husband has lunch to take tommorow
5) Can pay myself tommorow from the business.
6) Meal planned for tommorow nights dinner.
7) Made sure the dishwasher was totally full before running it tonight.

Hope both "boys" get better soon, I know how awful this feels - took mum to her respite care at the weekend and woke up about 5am Monday vomiting, shivering, pounding head, slept most of day in between vomitting and felt much better Tuesday and back to normal today, was hoping and praying that no-one else got it especially mum (it would have looked awful taking her and a bug to respite
) but everyone else seems fine.
I too am a "Scott and Bailey" fan

Thank you Ziggy, Im sorry to hear you were poorly, and as you say yes it would be awful had your mum got it. My Gran is 92 and they had a recent outbreak of the Norovirus at her care home, my mum was praying Gran wouldnt get it. Imagine that when you can hardly move! horrible thought, thankfully she escaped it this time." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
