austria/switzerland going next week or half term - any cheap deals?

Kids v into Sound of Music - would like spring/summer holiday in beautiful mountain scenery. What's the best place to find late minute bargains, either just flights (as have found nice hotels/chalets) or packages? Anyone been anywhere nice they'd recommend? Must be child-friendly (or at least not unfriendly) - childcare a bonus!

Flying from London airports or nearby - could stretch to eg Coventry if it was cheap enough.

Ideally, would like just flights as have found amazing family friendly hotels in Austria for as little as £800 for a week all inclusive for 5 of us - v luxurious - kind of thing that would cost thousands in UK - including organic food, 60 hours + childcare a week for 2 bigger ones and even childcare for baby included etc so I could actually have a real holiday where I got to relax and kids had fab time - but can't afford it unless I can find cheap flights....
