Hi ,
My friend recently purchased 16 GB 7 Inch versus tab from pcworld.
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/versus-touchtab-7v-dual-core-tablet-16-gb-21019338-pdt.html
His kid of 8 months accidentally pushed it down leading to a crack in the lcd screen. Although tab is in good condition without any external damage, lcd screen is distorted and cracked in the bottom right corner. It was purchased recently - aged just 28 days .
Could anyone give pointers on how to fix it ?
Should he visit pcworld for enquiry ? can it be claimed with warranty ?
Any pointers will be of great help.
Thanks,

I think the only options are to claim on house insurance or see what it fetches on ebay as spares or repair.0

You cant claim on the warranty as its user caused damage.
The digitiser and glass will be at least £50 and then tools and time to do it is another £50.
Seeing as the original costs £80 I would buy a new one and either keep the original for spares or sell it on ebay as such.
Claiming on home insurance would be below your excess surely?0 -
@chris,@krisdorey...thanks for your inputs.
He is staying in a rented property, to my knowledge he has no home insurance under his name.
May be selling it as a spare in ebay may be a good option.
What about asking pcworld to repair it ? any idea how much do they charge for repair service ?0
