Question about debit card transaction?

Hi,
I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post but can't find anywhere else, but quick question.
Once a debit card payment has left an account, does it then immediately show up on the recipients account?
So, if I check my account say on Thursday morning at 9am, and my payment has debited that day, the recipient will get the payment that morning?
Thanks,
Candy.

Only on bank transfers
Debit cards usually take a couple days to clear similar to credit cards0 -

No, I paid my rent with my debit card online on the Bank Holiday, so I just needed to know that when the payment is debited, it will go immediately into landlords account, that's all.

when you say that you paid your rent online using a debit card . I assume a Council or Housing Association using Allpay or A&L Billpay
so next day , perhaps backdated to today as far as your bank is concerned
If you card is enrolled in "verified by Visa" etc - you can check online
Today - as far as your landlord is concerned - but a day later as far as you are concernedHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Yes, it is HA, but it is done through Sage.
The reason I'm worried apart from the Bank Holiday, is because Sage never sent me a confirmation email this time for some reason, but I rang the bank and they said an authorisation was asked for, and they gave me the number.
So just to make sure it goes out, I'l ring bank to check on Thursday. Emailed Sage asking why no confirmation of payment, but they wouldn't help me.
Thanks,
