Good conveyancing solicitor in North / North East London?

Anyone dealt with a star they'd like to recommend?

Ideally someone in that area, who will communicate via email when necessary - not someone who insists on a letter in the post / fax.

Please let me know of particularly great service experiences - we are FTB's ...

Thanks!

If you're not selling, and your purchase is straightforward with no nasty long chain or complicated bits, you could probably save a few quid and just go with a good online conveyancer. There will be no hand holding but a competent firm will be fine. It's just a process and if negotiations don't come into it, you don't necessarily need a solicitor for a first time buy.

But for hand holding or anything more complicated, I can recommend Schubert Murphy in Winchmore Hill. They kept a chain in place that would have collapsed otherwise.
