Oh - that's a b***er (no offence)
Are you able to add soya mik to cream it up? I have very little experience of soya milk but was just wondering?

Spent £8.76 today on a few bits and pieces for the weekend. Definitely thinking much more carefully about what I already have in the house before picking items off the shop's shelves.
It will be tight this month, but still aim to come in on target.
I need to get on with some housework, but will be back later to catch up with people's news.
Wishing you all a good day.

Well have followed my plan to batch cook and stock up ready meals so I dont have to mess around next week when I have my eye op.
The new (to me) chest freezer has meant that I can finally work my way through the upright one and get things organised, be the first time in years if I do though, but now have 30 meals made up and guess what?
Labelled!
What has shocked me though is have much meat I have in, enough for months, trouble is I can never resist the mega reductions. I need to seriously use up and only buy fruit and veg for a few weeks.Slimming World at target0 -
Can I ask some advice?
I put on my SOA that I planned to budget £40 a week (£160 a month) on groceries for 3 of us, myself, OH and 18yr old daughter, and was told that this was unlikely to be realistic or true.
But, that is the budget I want to aim for... am I being unrealistic?
I intend to make from scratch, eat a lot of soups, use my storecupboard and freezer, and grow own salad and some veggies.

I budget £50 a week for two adults and two children. I include toileties and cleaning products too. But not Pet stuff or DH Yucky smokes or his beer (if he wants extras he has to get them himself, they don't come out of my budget)
I think you need to be clear (with yourself lol) what is included and what's not. I don't see why can't you budget for £40/wk, yes you may slip up ... but who hasn't!! Some weeks I spend more than £50 but that balances against another week when I spend less.
Good luck and don't beat yourself up about it, if your budget doesn't come under the first time - its all a bit of trial and error!Christmas budget £266.38/£535 15/27gifts

hello all xx
Well my fridge and freezer are nearly empty.. egg on toast for tea last night, couscous and roast veg for lunch today to use up the peppers/random aubergine/tomato in the fridge.. tupperware surprise bean chilli from the freezer for tea tonight with added can of baked beans + 4 rashers bacon + plenty of smoked paprika. hope that comes out ok!
Then the rest of the bacon + veg with pasta + tin of tomatoes for tea tomorrow night.. will be moving house on monday with the minimum of stuff hurrah.
Also.. it's my hen do on sat!! which comes out of different budget - mr sheep is banished to his mam's so will be getting fed there .. just need to get some meat of some description for sunday tea.. last meal in our old house sob/yipee! very excited about the move.
I will need to stick really hard to the GC after the move as stupidly had not accounted for mortgage early redemption payment which has just come through on the completion statement ---- DOHHHH. Luckily it's not a deal-breaker but things will continue to be tight for the foreseeable... good job I am as mean as can be!
Hope you are all well and fingers crossed for a sunny weekend xCC1 £7,944.10

I just spent £17.06 on meat, I think I can make that spread out to 9 meals for the four of us. So 36 portions altogether.
I shouldn't have to buy any more meat for at least a fortnight. My lovely new chest freezer is empty no more!0 -
Hi everyone,
£14.47 spent in MandS today. Wanted a dine in for £10 deal but doesn't appear to be happening this weekend, although of course it may be starting tomorrow doh!
Got southern fried chicken for DH, DD and DS2 for tonight. DS1 out with gf for her birthday. I will have something with salad. Also got milk, ys mixed veg, ys jumbo pizza, salad leaves and a chorizo.
Need to move £30.60 over to 2nd purse for items used this week. So not a great start to June but I will persevere!
Have a good day all,
