in Credit cards
Hello, thanks for taking the time to have a look.
So I'm new to credit, i have a pay monthly phone and student loans but that is the extent of my credit history.
I am currently a student and I've saved up enough money to purchase a holiday. Probably going to buy on icelolly.com and I would like the protection of a credit card and also some of the cashback benefits and other rewards if possible.
I'm looking for advice as to which credit card or other means of purchase i should use.
Thanks again for your time,
Ally

With a limited history, your best bet will be your own bank, or a started card such as aqua, Cap One or Vanquis. You would only need to put a deposit on the holiday to get the protection. Then pay the card off in full and the rest of the holiday balance with a debit card.
You may pay a 2-3% fee for the credit card payment, but shouldn't be much on a small deposit.
Continue to use the credit card regularly and pay off in full each month to build your credit rating.0
