Land of leather - chargeback?

Hi, not very hopeful with this one but bought i'd put it out there...
Ordered leather sofa from Land of Leather store on 26/12/2008 And Paid deposit of £250 on Maestro debit card.
Jan 2009 LOL went into administration - we were told deposit is safe but status of order cannot be confirmed and that we cannot cancel order.
Feb 2009 offered 5% discount or free delivery (£69 was due to be POD) and that sofa would arrive in 10-12 weeks.
May 2009 update from LOL adding extra 4 weeks to delivery date but assured us we'd still receive it. Offered free leather care kit and full warranty.
End of May sofa arrives without prior notice but we weren't home (we'd given up and gone to purchase another!) Drivers tell my neighbour the balance of £920 needed paying in cash (!) and that we could not open to check electrics of recliner etc AND they wouldn't bring it upstairs. No other payment options available.
Left card asking to call back.
Called to explain we didn't agree with this procedure to be told this was our only option.
Letter revived from administrators Aug 09 saying to call within 3 days or order would be cancelled and deposit retained. We called to say we still weren't happy, they went away to see if anything else could be done. Heard nothing after this.
Now wondering if at all we'd be able to recoup the deposit, or as we did not follow up, are we left without a leg to stand on?
Thanks

The LOL administrators will by now have completely wound up their affairs and moved on to the next retail failure.....there's been enough of them lately.
Is there any reason why you have waited 4 years before asking these questions?0 -
Thought this may be the case... Just sorting through old paperwork and thought I'd see if anything could be done.
