Well pepys have been busy..confessing!! Bet you all feel a bit relieved now eh?! Sorry but I have nothing to add to mine - other than the mort but I dont count that in my debt but will be a MFW when I pay the cc's & loans off as have been astounded by how much less interest you pay if you make overpayments! I dothink its about balance though - am happy to pay some but also want to be able to breathe when the debts paid IYKWIM! Any more confessions? As for raiding 20p jars/kids savings etc...needs must sometimes & they'll prob end up with more in the long ru cos you all felt so guilty borrowing the money!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! HI - just got back from parents evening and am a bit cheesed of - I was fully in talking to parents mode and saw loads- then realised the hall was empty, I was on my own with a line of parents still waiting to see me. Carried on thinking it was only about 6.45 (started at 4.15, due to finish at 6.30) then got to the end and asked what time it was- 7.30!!!!! Why had the head of year not come up and said that it was time to go? At my last school you did the time and it was unfortunate but then if you hadn't seen everyone you rang them or something. Instead I was just left - I really didn't notice at all the time and I was really quick with every parent. Am I just being ridiculous??
Also a parent had a real go at me about marking and homework - I take a pride in doing my job well and am mortified that this girl's book has only been marked twice, along with 2 assessments as well, but I do not need someone having a go at me in front of the student. Grr.
Enough of me going on. Money saving not done anything. Ah well.

Sounds like you need one of those dodgy virtual hugs.........:grouphug:
I hope by now you are well down a bottle of wine, or something similar and you are managing to de-stress. I have actually had a glass of wine - some thing I NEVER usually do during the week, and have calmed down enough to realise I was stressing and to just carry on as I was lol. I can understand why parents are concerned I am one!! Just there are ways and means...
Anyhoo, nothing planned for tom night so will be marking, relaxing and perhaps having another one of those glasses of wine while I read on here - trying to catch up but don't really have much to say. A few posts have depressed me somewhat (nothig pointed at anyone btw - just the same old argument about debt diaries and another poster whohas said a few out of order things that I thought I was taking to heart but thankfully others have noticed too).
Should probably go to bed now, just waiting for an update on email about a friend who I'm really worried about.

Oh sea, bad news that a parent was out of order. People can be inconsiderate and I think a lot of us parents undervalue teachers (I know I do myself and it's partly because I'm jealous of them as they get to spend more time with my child than I do - stupid I know). Don't take it to heart or think any more about it . The fact that you stayed so late shows what a committed and caring teacher you are.
And don't read the threads that depress you. Some people need to get things off their chests, doesn't mean you have to take it on board.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Hi Sea, hope you had a good sleep and that you have a good day today. I hope the update about your friend is good news too xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Hi Sea
Hope you're feeling better this morning - the advice at the end of Seaxwyn's post is good, take it on board!
So your thread is where the confessions about extra debt started! Okay, I have one to add, I've mentioned it elsewhere, but I'd better put it here.... I've ignored my French repayment mortgage. Its two years gone out of a total of 15 years, and I'm frighteningly ignorant about it. I don't know how much I originally borrowed, or if I can overpay, all sorts of things. If people start amending their sigs in the New Year, then I'll do that one.....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
