Oh hun, just what you didn't want to find out. And worse is that OH won't talk to you about it tomorrow - like you can just forget it until then.

Sending very positive vibes your way......x

so a mixture of :D and a bit of  thrown in too?

Don't worry about your mum - it is you that has to deal with this.

What impact would this have on the job? Some people will do anything to get out of filling a form in :rotfl:

You see Sea you are pulling the positives from this alreading and in OH's defense [with one similar to him I'm pretty good at pully out the good ;)] he is gonna start councelling.

We all know that he needs a boot up his but for not coming straight home but what really will that acheive

You will make the choices that not only suit your family but will be the best for them - I for one am sure of that

As for your mum - WHAT ARE WE LIKE? I had the worst reaction from my dad when I was PG with little legs at the grand old age of 26 - and yes, a worse reaction than when I was PG with DD1 at 17

Parents - huh  once she has stopped moaning at you she'll be your rock

Well, I start full time work in sept but don't know if i'll get full time mat leave, or at the part time rate I'm on now.

I don't know how me and OH will cope with our relationship with this added.

I don't know how we're going to afford it financially at all. DMP payments, reduction in my salary for the time I'll be off, then another 4 yrs of childcare to pay for. EEEkkkk!

On the other hand I did want another child, the age gap will be nice (2 1/2 yrs like between my first two), I'll be done with babies by the time I hit 30. I'm a little excited, but terrified.

I also don't think OH wants me to be pregnant. He's already said I should have gone for the morning after pill. Doesn't help now does it.

Ok, so not planned, but not unhappy - that is a really good start. As for the financials, well you have 8 months more to do the maths, prepare and get ready. You have gotten ahead of yourself a bit on the DMP if I recall, so another review in a few months will just put you back more or less where you were a few weeks ago.

As for the relationship - well it was always going to either survive, or not. This may well make the decision either way, but either way you will manage. You have proved how strong you are this year, and this strength will continue.

As for the job - continue as normal. Get that form filled in and I would expect you would get full time rights if you are working full time. Just don't mention it to the Head just yet!!

  • Sea can I secretly say I'm happy for you in a positive gaga new baby way. I know you have problems but I'm afraid where pregnancy is concerned I go all girly and want to jump up and down and scream (so unlike me!!) hence me having 4 ranging between 19 and 5 with a 13 and 12 year old in the middle! When I found out about the youngest my mum went mad but she got over it (no choice lol) and now we wouldn't be without her. Take care honey - every excuse now to put your feet up!!
    love and hugs

    Thanks :)

I too feel rather woohoo, but then everything else comes crashing in on me. I won't be taking it easy - I put on quite a bit of weight with my other 2 and also my DS was 9lbs 12oz!!!! I'm hoping for a smaller one!!

Sea - you go back full time in Sept yes?

    When will baby be due?

Your SMP will be calculated on the average earning for the 8 weeks before your 25 weeks PG so you should be able to workout if that will be part or full time earnings
