How to find out about a repossessed flat

Hi there. I'm wondering if someone maybe able to help me with this. There is a studio flat below me that has been repossessed.

We are quite interested in buying it but have no idea where to begin. There is no notices up to say who is selling it. I spoke to the gas, water men that have been in to the flat and they have no idea.

Any help would be really appreciated as to how I go about this.

Many Thanks.xx

go to the land registry site

find the properrty in question (pay for) and download the details and in there will be name of the mortgage holder.

apply to them direct for info.

This may work, though they may just ignore you

If it is a flat, get the leasehold Title, not the freehold.

Look at section 3 - Charges Register.
