coat bought in foreign branch of high street store

Hi all,
first post for a long long time from me!
I bought a coat for my girlfriend from a well known high-street fashion ztore in early January 2013. However it was from a branch in another EU country.
Since then, the main zip has given up (keeps popping open) and one of the press-studs has broken off since then. She was using the press-studs to close the coat only since the zip broke.
I bought on a credit card, but do my rights apply in the same way? Can we try and take it to a UK branch of the ztore for a replacement or refund?
thanks,
surfcat.
*the misspellings are a clue.
Edited to add: the coat was around Euros85 and she does like it, but just disappointed in the quality.

As the coat cost less that £100, Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act won't help you.
You will need to rely on a chargeback.
Have a read of MSE's article on the subject, but note that there is a 120 day from purchase time limit.
Of course there is nothing to stop you asking for a remedy in a UK store.0 -
Call Zara in the UK and ask them.
(really don't know why you have to give 'clues' and couldn't just type Zara?)Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
You may well find that the countries are separate trading entities for various tax and trading reasons, etc., so worth a try but don't get your hopes too high!0
