I'm currently comparing 2 HD ready TVs with integrated Freeview and could be done with some help from someone of a technical mind.
Number 1 has:
Screen size 20''
Contrast ratio 600:1
Pixel Resolution 1366 x 768
Brightness 450cd/m2
COST IS £319.99
Number 2 has:
Screen size 19''
Contrast ratio 800:1
Pixel Resolution 1440 x 900
Brightness 300 cd/m2
COST IS £279.99
Which one sounds the better of the 2?
Thanks.

Err,
No.1 has 1" bigger screen, and has a slightly better brightness range.
No. 2 has a better contrast range and higher resolution.
But never mind the specs, what are the makes and models. Use Google to look up reviews on them, dont just go on specs. On paper one can have a higher resolution, but in the real world gives a crap picture.
Remember you generally get what you pay for, You cannot compare a £900 tv with a £300 one. They're not 600 cheaper for nothing! £300 will never get you a "quality" HD TV. Its all down to your perspective of quality tho.0 -
I agree with realHighlander. Ignore the specs, they are usually massaged and don't always correspond in real life anyway.
But one other piece of advice I would add is goto a shop, take a dvd with a lot of colours in and flashing lights (matrix or blade style as they have lots of black shiny surfaces in) and view it on both screens and buy the one that is best.
