In case anybody's looking for these.

The price seems to have shot up since I last bought it (some years ago) - but I've found the cheapest to be 10L bag from Wilkos £3.75.

They didn't have it instore but it can be ordered for instore collection.

    I was in Homebase at the weekend, and the last bag of perlite had a tear in the plastic. Let me have it for £1 :)

    Wouldn't it be the industrial rather than the horticultural stuff? I read somewhere that it's not the same.

    It's used for insulation I have read that it is the same apart from being bigger particles however some maintain that it could contain pesticides and herbicides.I have a big bag in my loft but haven't tried it out on plants as I am not too sure of any additives.

    Oh I was getting confused thinking you meant CWG. (note to self - read posts carefully :rotfl:)

    Ah that explains the price difference - best to stick to horticultural grade just incase and keep the rest for insulation/ packaging for posting parcels.
