I was in Homebase at the weekend, and the last bag of perlite had a tear in the plastic. Let me have it for £10

It's used for insulation I have read that it is the same apart from being bigger particles however some maintain that it could contain pesticides and herbicides.I have a big bag in my loft but haven't tried it out on plants as I am not too sure of any additives.0

Ah that explains the price difference - best to stick to horticultural grade just incase and keep the rest for insulation/ packaging for posting parcels.0
