Landlord needs to write to you detailing what he intends to withhold from your damage deposit. Then write back and dispute or make an offer. Stop dealing with someone you don't trust by telephone, you need a paper trail at this point.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

I have recently moved out of rented accomadation, I paid £400 bond. I have spoken to the agent today and they are saying that i have to pay for the carpets to be cleaned, I have been in the property for 6 yrs and is only general wear and tear. Also they state that the landlord had to go to the tip 6 times, this is untrue there was nothing left in the house apart from an old rabbit hutch in the garden. Can they demand money for the cleaning of the carpets.
