New Abbey 9-month 0% card

Hi

Abbey are coming out with a new 9 month 0% card to replace the six month card that is currently on offer. My friendly financial adviser at the branch told me this when I walked into the branch last week to apply for one. He told me he's not supposed to tell, but it might be worthwhile waiting for a week to take advantage of the new offer.

I think from what I can remember, it was a BT card.

This is run by MBNA, so it has the usual "we may charge a 2% fee" on balance transfers wording.

On the plus side, it says the 0% deal applies to cheques, so this could be used for SBT purposes.

Wouldn't touch abbey with a bargepole after the trouble my mum had when she had her card stolen and money fraudulently obtained. Took 4+ months to sort because the claim had got lost in a 'black hole'. If you do get a card, make sure it doesn't get nicked!

The new card is launched tomorrow, and is 0% for 9 months on purchases, replacing the 0% for 6 months on purchases that was available previously. The 0% for 9 months BT offer isn't affected.
