Help!!! Burning smell in House!!

Can anyone help us - we have a burnt toast or coffee smell coming from the middle of the house under the floorboards. It only started about 20 mins ago and it doesn't smell of gas at all. But really overpowering toast/coffee smell. Any ideas??

Thanks for the reply - but no dont think so. My neighbours have carpets on all floors and dont really cook as disabled and elderly. Its also just coming from the middle of the house.....

  • if it smells like grimsby docks check all your extension adapters make sure your not overloading one socket ie near your pc or telly best thing to do turn power off and using the back of your hand feel the plugs gently if ones hotter than normal unplug and get a sparky in

    Hi

Can you lift a floorboard in an understairs cupboard?
Maybe a rodent hanging onto your wiring!
