Luna I didn't believe any of it was made up. I took the whole post as genuine and posted in recognisance of that.0 -
Well if you say that's the case I'm unsubscribing from the thread. If the OP is genuine he can contact me by PM for advice.0

another of his user names..As I have mentioned on another thread. I receive HRM due to the fact that I virtually cannot walk. That is a medical fact coupled with medical opinion which the DWP agreed and accepted.
Yet I would love to continue with my lifetime hobby of playing in bands.
I just know that if I was seen sat down behind my drumkit on stage belting out a Whitesnake number I would be treated with suspicion and more than likely have to undergo an ATOS assessment to try and 'prove' to them what my inabilities are.
The fact that I play drums, which has sod all to do with being able to walk albeit using some muscles in both lower legs (which have nothing to do with walking ability), it would be held against me.
For that reason I cannot run the risk of playing anymore (which is fantastic in keeping the upper body fit and does not cause me to have any health problems). That isn't right just the same as working could give rise to doubt also.
For those that might ask - 'what about transporting the equipment?' I have friends that do that for me and set it up.
So if you want a quiet life and don't want to run the risk of constant re-assessment, you have to give up so many things that really you shouldn't have to!!
I should also add, that if I was allowed to do that work it would reduce the amount that is paid to me via Pension Credit - as my earnings would be somewhere between £200/300 a week for 2 nights work - thereby saving the taxpayers up to £15,600 a year!!!!Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama0
