There are some nice ones on that site, I am really tempted but the only place I can store one is under the bed, and my hubby already swears that I am trying to knock him off, perhaps I can disguise it as a laundry basket though.0

My dearly departed Mum Had a Cardboard Coffin ( she was buried in a green burial site).
It caused many a laugh amongst us as it was purchased 5y years before she died and was kept in the spare room !!
It was purchased in advance so that my neice could paint it for her GCSE art project, it looked brilliant all decorated with a woodland scene and Rainbows.0 -
Cardboard all the way for me. Love the idea of the coffee table until needed though, think of all the great conversations to be had about it haha!

I have always said I wanted a cardboard box funeral. This thread has just had me and my 11 year old laughing out loud.
It has given me a chance to talk to him about death and I am glad that when the time comes he will remember this and how happy we were, and that I am not afraid of dying
Nottslass that is lovelyLife is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.0 -

The caskets' interiors look so comfy. Does anyone know if you can specify pillow type e.g. soft , medium, firm?0

After having to go through the process of making funeral arrangements for my late dad recently this is something which my OH and I have discussed in a little detail.
I quite like the idea of a cardboard coffin and getting any remaining family and friends to write farewell messages on it, in a similar way to leavers day at school where we all wrote on each others school shirts! I'm not sure if that would creep a few people out though.£12k in 2019 #084 £3000/£3000
