Ipad calendar issue

I have installed UK calendars on my Ipad because I live in UK, bought my Ipad in UK and don'twish to know when US Mothers day is, or Lincolns birthday etc. However, these dates keep appearing and I can't seem to find a way to disable them. Any ideas?

Click Calendars on the top left, then uncheck the calendar which has the US dates on it.0

Has anyone noticed though that the earlyMay Bank holiday monday is actually on tuesday 7th May. Only on Ipad/Iphone calendar though. Or is it just on mine?:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0
