Hello everyone. It's been 3 weeks since my last confession. I haven't comped in month but about to spend the next few hours making up for that! Hope you're all well x

P.S. fish fingers and custard is a Doctor Who reference, see series 5 (the first episode with Matt Smith) for details

Lol! Same here - particularly fitting in eating with decorating and gardening at the mo. Creative whatsit has gone out the window yet needs must ........ lovely homemade chip butty tonight with tom sauce followed by icecream and fruit!!! Hey ho, at least I'm fed!! xxx

firefly - thanks for the recipe. We had ours with ham and mushrooms. I have to admit that I used a packet


I am not too good with the creamy sauces but might give that one a try some time now I know we like it.

My late friend showed me how to make home-made bechamel sauce with fresh nutmeg.
I had a bust-up with my sister because she bought a jar of dolmio and lives in France/Italy. (I refused to eat it!)
I made my own bol sauce and she agreed it was better!

sylv - I keep packets in as well, always handy if we've not the time/stuff in cupboards to do, love to do home made when I can but stuff in rl sometimes hinders us, I have to plan everything days in front to keep on top :eek::D
agree with you ILCs homemade always tastes better,

Sylvia, I like the Schwartz mix fr carbonara I much prefer Schwartz packets to any other. They used to do spicy meatball mix which I always bought and rolled the meatballs in but now they've stopped doing it! I hate it when they stop making something I like.

Can't adam and eve it!!! I know where to buy my next lot of shares in! Schwartz :rotfl:

The only short-cut I buy is Lazy Garlic because the bulbs would dry out too quickly and saves the palava of chopping etc.
