Sylvia, I often do that with insurance....I phone up and tell them I've had a better quote. I was once told that it increased in price because of the break ins in the area, so basically I was paying for other peoples burglaries! :eek:

Loyalty counts for nothing at all.My elderly mother had been with the same insurance co for years until I checked her bills for her & got a new broker/company involved.The cost fell from £200 pa to £58pa.
I never renew automatically now for car or house insurance.Best to always get more quotes & then work from there.0 -
