I didn't get more points added on from last month Sheils, only from my email yesterday :) Glad you got you champneys voucher! :j You could maybe make a weekend of it?
I've just had a call to say to do some more training tomorrow. I was told last week by the lady who was doing course but when I asked manager the other day she said no I wasn't on that course! Now they have just rung to say I am, wish they would make their mind up!

You must be getting a bit annoyed about your new job wingo - they don't sound like any of them know what the other ones are doing. Hope it all sorts itself out soon.
The voucher is only for one night but from 2pm one day until 4pm the next including Dinner, Breakfast, lunch and 2 treatments each plus full use of classes, spa etc. All that would come to £249 EACH!!!!!! There must be some peeps with far too much money.

Wow that's exensive! I would want a haircut and a new wardrobe for that! :p
I am getting a bit peeved off by the way they are messing me around with the job. :( I got the job in feb/march and still not got a start date! I know it's only bank shift hours but still it's putting everything else on hold!
If I do get some supply work as a teaching assistant in the school working with SEN children then I may pack the other job in, I can't be done with all the messing around!
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

Good morning everybody (or is it nearly afternoon) bit late in this morning.

Firefly - that pic makes me want to book a holiday! We will probably book something later in the year for early next as we want to pay off the car early so are not holidaying this year.

How do I check my Tesco points without going and buying something just to check as Tesco is not our end of town.

Well done all who got the Tesco points.

Glad you got your Chamney's voucher Sheils it would be good if you can book something either side of it, I am sure you will find something good.

Wingo - They do seem to be messing you about a bit with the job don't they? Good luck with the course tomorrow.

The sun is shining here this morning and washing blowing on the line.

    Have a lovely day everyone.

  • Just read this on Facebook & thought I'd share

SON: "Daddy, may I ask you a question?"
DAD: "Yeah sure, what is it?"
SON: "Daddy, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?"
SON: "I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "If you must know, I make $100 an hour."
SON: "Oh! (With his head down).
SON: "Daddy, may I please borrow $50?"
    The father was furious.
DAD: "If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard everyday for such this childish behavior."

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.
The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?
After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think:
Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $ 50 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

    DAD: "Are you asleep, son?"

    SON: "No daddy, I'm awake".
DAD: "I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier. It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $50 you asked for."

The little boy sat straight up, smiling.
    SON: "Oh, thank you daddy!"
Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

DAD: "Why do you want more money if you already have some?"

SON: "Because I didn't have enough, but now I do.

"Daddy, I have $100 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you."
The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness. It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $100 worth of your time with someone you love? If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family and friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family.

    Very good PMS!

Sylvia have you registered your Tesco Clubcard online? If you have you should be able to log in and see your points. Not sure how it works if you are saving them for Xmas though.
