You'd have to ask your mobile network if they're willing to do a recurring payment on your card.
Either way, set up a direct debit from your bank to pay at least the minimum payment on your Capital One card each month just in case you forget or don't receive your statement for some reason.
You'll probably have to wait until you have at least 6 statements before you get a credit limit increase and in that time you'll have to not have any late payments or other negative things on your account.0 -
Basically im 18 i applied for a capital one secured card but they said i can get the classic visa if i want so i got that one and they gave me a credit limit of £500.
I wanted to know can i pay for my contract monthly with the card?
Like do they have a account number and sortcode? I want to do this so they can see money comes out and ill pay it back in a week so they could consider me for a higher limit.
Good idea? Leme know
I assume you mean can you pay your mobile phone bill with the card? It depends, most likely yes BUT you will pay a few pound extra each time for the privilege.
With Capital One, it will be AT LEAST SIX MONTHS before they will consider increasing your credit limit!
Also, spend something BUT wait for the bill then settle so that it registers on your credit file.I have numerous qualifications in Business and Finance, Accountancy, Health and Safety and am now studying Law.
Don't rely on anything I write as it may be wrong!!!0 -
As an aside, I got my first credit card from HSBC when I was 20 and a student, the limit was £500, 6 months later it was automatically increased it to £1000 and six months after that it was £1500.
So don't go over the credit limit and make all your payments on time giving you lots of lovely green zeros on your credit file and you'll be well on your way0
