OMG, that would be soooo dangerous, imagine, children would deliberately lick the envelopes and risk getting paper cuts on their tongues.

Shame on you, as a mummy, suggesting such an outrageous idea. Go to the mummy naughty step right now, and no sniffing the fruity glue, or pens, or rubbers, or notelets while you're there young lady.

Sorry, all I've got after reading this thread is a vivid image of an eight year old with a tube of Pritt Stick hanging out of each nostril

Disgusting. I won't set foot in Tesco and encourage any responsible parent to now do so also.

What kind of example are they setting to children? Imagine the parent trying to tell kids they shouldn't sniff glue, when they're being told everywhere that it's ok.

They had already lost you as a customer and the forum as a member yesterday, changed your mind then?

They're not meant to sniff the (glitter) glue like that.
Just like they're not meant to sniff the scented pens, crayons and rubbers.
They are not being told it's ok to sit and sniff a bottle of glue.
They are being told they can make nice smelling pictures on paper.

What the hell is with some people?Do Tesco need to start selling missing braincells?

It would be nice if they also sold books on forum etiquette and common courtesy as it obvious that a few MSE members could make use of these.

The OP came on here to voice their personal opinion, and as with any opinion, it's neither right or wrong, simply how someone views something and they have every right to use this forum to state this.

It's not teaching children that sniffing glue is ok, it's teaching them that not all glue has to smell like fish.

Or it's teaching them that Tesco are very good at making profits as the bottles are tiny for glitter glue :D

We were looking for paint and OH found this glitter glue on the shelf. I don't think that it'd encourage my daughter to become a glue sniffer, but I'd rather that the glue went on her page rather than sniffed up her nose.

I also think some of the comments on this thread are out of order. We all grew up being told not to sniff glue and for Tesco to sell a product which is a glue that smells nice could be considered irresponsible. The smell of the glue is its USP.
