Been thinking about this a bit more, and cant quite work this out. THe seller has sold literally hundreds of these. I think an earlier post says something like the company he worked for was going bust, so he helped himself to these in lieu of payment.

Doesnt that make them stolen property? What if a liquidator came in to the business, to share out the assets? Where would we all stand then?

As Shaggy would say to Scooby: 'YIKES!'

Was waiting for someone else to bring this up

Blokey took this in lieu of payment, ie he knew he wasn't gonna get paid so took a whole wad of the vouchers (and probably more than the payment he was entitled to, if each voucher is worth £100 and he has sold thousands that is getting close to a million pounds he thinks he was owed)

When the liquiditorcome to wind up the company they will have to audit all the assests and will notice that the vouchers are missing

Would the liquiditor have been able to get more than the £25 for a £100 i-tunes voucher (almost certainly)

The company will have creditors, including the other members of staff

If there are less vouchers then they will get a lower payout

so not only did blokey shaft his old bosses he ended up shafting the people he worked with

It wouldn't take a lot of investigating by the police to find out where the vouchers are so people who brought the vouchers could be done for handling stolen goods (although the CPS ould most probably rule any prosecution is not in the public interest), but Apple would have a list of the voucher numbers so could quite legally cancel any download credit on the voucher (especially if they were one of the businesses owed money by the company)
Debt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO

I dont know where people have read that they're taken from a company thats going bust? The website says:

    Q. How can you sell these gift vouchers so cheap???

    A. These gift vouchers are supplied to us through corporate promotions. Due to these promotions the vouchers have to be redeemed within 2 months. Although once the gift vouchers are redeemed the gift vouchers can be used for 2 years.

its elsewhere in this thread - someone emailed the seller for more info and that was the gist of the answer he gave. its only because of this thread that we would know this so i think the "handling stolen goods" charge is a bit farfetched to pin on us innocent ebayers! I'm sure there's plenty of people on ebay selling promotional materials etc which they have received through work.

There's a few selling them on ebay, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/100-Itunes-apple-ipod-Gift-Certificate-Voucher-Code_W0QQitemZ140118616954QQihZ004QQcategoryZ65215QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem again for £25.

EDIT: Just realised the seller above accepts offers where the others don't, you might be able to get it for a few pound cheaper than the others if you barter.

I took the plunge a few weeks back after seeing the itunes vouchers.com site, I bought through the site and it came via email within 2 minutes.

I'm not sure how any liquidators would be able to do anything ?, once their redeemed then no-one else can redeem them, i'm finding it hard to spend it lol, got £83 left from the £100 voucher.

I'm glad nobody publishes my name and address on a public website and recommends that people "could always pop around"...!!!

We are all aware of how many freaks and weirdos are out there on the end of a PC waiting for that information!

As these have to be redeemed within a short period of time, it's doubtful whether the liquadators would be able to do anything with them anyway??

Well the domain name registrar (goes by Williams Admin) lives here:

    Address

If you don't get anywhere you could always pop around to his flat..

I dont think that should be posted here or anywhere at all. The seller has hundreds of positive feedback over the past few weeks and at 100%. He's not ripping off any buyers at all.

Good luck to him I say.
